KlangLab Leftover Gifts

The final concert of the season takes place annually under the heading Leftover Gifts. The invited composers from the first five concerts of the season select a sound or a sound object resulting from their collaborative work with KlangLab, which they present to the musicians of the ensemble as a gift. Equipped with five gifts per season, KlangLab then engages in a collective composition process for the sixth concert, where it will be revealed whether these five sounds/sound objects will unfold their effect as a 'gift' or rather within today's contextual understanding of the German word ‘Gift,’ meaning ‘poison.’
