Jeong-Ah Lee Jeong-Ah Lee was born in 2000 in Anyang, South Korea. She began playing the piano in 2006 and started studying composition in 2015. From 2019 to 2023, she studied Composition as wel as English Language & Literature at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul. During her studies, she received the Excelence Award at the 53rd Seoul Composition Music Festival, and in 2021, her orchestral work was performed at the 86th Regular Concert of the Colege of Music at Sookmyung Women’s University. From 2023 to 2026, she studied composition in the Master’s program at the University of Music and Theatre Rostock (HMT Rostock) with Peter Manfred Wolf, Johannes Boris Borowski, and Julia Deppert- Lang. In 2024–2025, she was a recipient of the Deutschlandstipendium. She is the winner of the Rostock Composition Competition “Zugabe 3’33’”, jointly organized for the second time by the Volkstheater Rostock and HMT Rostock. Since 2026, she has been studying at the University of Music Basel (Musik-Akademie Basel).
