Encounters
The project Encounters is conceived as a collaboration between KlangLab, children from the munterwegs association, and the Community Dance Company of Tanzhaus Basel. Encounters aims to initiate an artistic exchange between amateurs and professionals, dance and music, and younger and older participants, in which their interactions with one another serve as the starting point for jointly creating a performance—as an encounter with the audience. The performance will be preceded by a process in which participants have the opportunity to artistically document and articulate their perceptions and to engage in dialogue with one another. What happens when musicians listen to dancers and dancers observe sound-based actions? The project’s performances will take place in Silo 1 at Tanzhaus Basel.
