Noa Mick, Saxophone
Saxophone artist, Noa Mick, brings a fresh and unique sound to the contemporary music world. Using interdisciplinary collaborations with leading composers, she presents her unique and new interpretations of contemporary music.
Playing classical music, and contemporary music and creating new works are at the heart of Noa's work, as well as collaborations with composers, including Frank Badrossian, Peter Ablinger, Chaya Czernowin, Sivan Eldar, Georges Apergis, and currently Giovanni Montiani.
Her work as a chamber musician and soloist, Noa has performed in many halls and festivals, Tzlil Meudcan Festival (Israel), Cyprus New Music Days (Cyprus), Berlin Academy of Arts (Germany), Sound Plasma Festival (Estonia), Onassis Cultural Center (Greece), HaTeiva Marathon Festival (Israel), StadtCasino Basel (Switzerland) and Soundmotion Festival (Switzerland).
Noa is regularly invited to play with contemporary music ensembles such as Ulysses Ensemble (France), Linea Ensemble (France), Meitar Ensemble (Israel), Adapter Ensemble (Germany) NeuverBand Ensemble (Switzerland), and Nolimit Orchestra (France).
She is also a founding member of the Klanglab ensemble, Duo Alto with the flutist Anat Nazarathy, and of the saxophone quartet Ensemble du Bout du Monde.
Noa has been living in Strasbourg since 2021, where she teaches and develops a new series of interdisciplinary cultural projects.
Noa graduated with her Bachelor's degree in saxophone performance in 2016 at Pôle Supérieur d’Enseignement Artistique (PSPBB) in Paris at the Sorbonne University. In 2018 she completed her Master's degree in saxophone performance as well as her Master's degree in saxophone pedagogy at the Academy of Music in Basel, Switzerland.
